A preview is missing or wrong
The saved link still works — here's why previews vary.
When you save a link, Cue may contact the website you shared — or a preview service provided by that website — directly from your device to retrieve information such as the page title, description, favicon, or preview image.
Because the request comes from your device, the destination website or preview provider may receive technical information normally associated with an internet request, such as your IP address and user agent.
Cue does not store the page’s full HTML as part of the preview.
Some sites and apps (Instagram, Facebook, X, and others) don’t give that information to anyone who isn’t signed in, so Cue may show just the site name or a generic title.
- The link is saved regardless. Tap Open Original on the item to open it.
- Tap Edit on the item to give it a better title, or add a Note for context.
If a preview is consistently wrong for a site you use often, let us know.
