Cue accounts and sync
Optional on iPhone. Needed to keep saves across devices.
You don’t need an account to use Cue. Saving, reminders, folders, and search all work on your iPhone without signing in. After a few saves Cue may suggest creating one; tap Not now and it won’t ask again.
What an account adds: your saved items, notes, folders, reminder times, and completion status are kept in your account, so they survive a new phone and appear on any device where you sign in.
What never syncs: photos and screenshots stay on the phone where you saved them and are not uploaded to Cue’s cloud storage. Other devices see the item with a placeholder instead of the picture. Detailed screenshot-recognition data also stays on the device. A reminder title created from a screenshot, such as “Message from Sam,” may sync like any other title.
Signing in with existing saves on your phone: Cue asks what to do — Keep this phone, Use account data, or Combine both.
Signing out keeps your items on this phone and stops syncing. Use Delete Account if you want everything removed (see Deleting your Cue account).
